About Us

EL is an educational service provider. We are one of the leaders in the services of offering learning solutions to teachers and students. In the past 15 years, more than 200 schools employed EL's services, over 3,000 Hong Kong teachers attended our workshops and over 20,000 students participated in our courses.

Our Mission

 

EL aspires to be an innovative educational service provider and a reliable partner of schools and teachers in Hong Kong. The mission of EL is to contribute new ideas, effective programmes and professional services so that learning will be innovative, enabling and inspiring for both students and teachers.

OUR GOAL IS TO PRODUCE ENGLISH ENHANCEMENT
​We offer researched based solutions with the clear and ultimate goal of improving students’ English Language skills.  While students will learn in a fun-filled, relaxed environment, our teachers and curriculum will constantly focus on English learning

 

WE DEVELOP NEW COURSES

In recent years, we develop liberal studies, legal education and career life planning courses to broaden students’ international perspective, to increase students' understanding of the community and exposure to different social issues.

 

WE ARE PASSIONATE

Our management, supporting staff and teachers are a team.  We are passionate about education, the quality of our programmes and our services, as well as the successful experiences of the students.

 

Mr. Chong Chan-yau

Director

Mr. CHONG Chan-yau, Director of EL Education, graduated from the University of Hong Kong majoring in English Studies and Psychology. He obtained a master degree in Information System from the London School of Economics and Political Science.



Served as an Administrative Officer in the Hong Kong Government, the Executive Director of Oxfam Hong Kong, and the Director of Student Development at the University of Hong Kong, Mr. Chong is passionate about promoting social justice and fostering a global perspective among the young. He is active in the field of public policy, social issues, especially poverty, environment, diversity and social inclusion, and education. 

He now serves as the President of the Hong Kong Blind Union, Vice-Chairman of the Joint Council for People with Disabilities, and the Member of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Council for Social Services.



For his contribution to society, Mr. Chong received the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award in 1991, the MBE in 1995, and the Poverty Reduction Award from the Poverty Foundation of China in 2004. In 2012, he received the Sing Tao News Corporation Leader of the Year Award and the University of Hong Kong Honorary University Fellowship.
